Congrats to everyone!
The 36th Annual Saturn Awards winners were announced yesterday on June 24th, with big wins for James Cameron's Avatar in the categories of best science fiction film, best actor, (Sam Worthington) best actress, (Zoe Saldana) best supporting actor, (Stephen Lang) best supporting actress, (Sigourney Weaver) best director, (James Cameron) best writer, (James Cameron) best music (James Horner) best production design (Rick Carter, Robert Stromberg) and best special effects (Joe Letteri, Stephen Rosenbaum, Richard Baneham, Andrew R. Jones).
And to cap it all off James Cameron picked up an additional visionary award.
Watchmen won the best fantasy film with Michael Wilkinson picking up the award for best costume. Watchmen also picked up an award for best DVD special edition (Watchman: The Ultimate Cut).
District 9 won an award for best international film, while monsters vs Aliens won in the best animation film category.
In the land of TV, Lost won the Saturn for best television series, with Josh Holloway picking up the award for best actor on television. The best DVD television release category was also won for Lost: The Complete Fifth Season. Show producers Roberto Orci & Alex Kurtzman won the The George Pal Memorial Award.
Meanwhile Fringe's Anna Torv won the best actress on television award. Leonard Nimoy also won in the best guest starring role on television category for his role as William Bell.
Julie Benz who will shortly be making her debut in the NBC superhero drama 'No Ordinary Family', won best supporting actress on television for her role in Dexter.
Torchwood fans also had reason to celebrate with a win for the series in the best presentation on television category for Torchwood: Children of Earth.
